If I can really get out of here, the place I reside

If I can really get out of here, the place I reside
I would love to vacate to the sea side
To see the waves dancing and singing
To see the birds flying and playing

If I can really get out of here, the place I reside
I would love to vacate to the mount side
To see the flowers blooming and tapping
To see the trees growing and dropping

If I can really get out of here, the place I reside
I would love to be your side
To see the sun rising and life
To see the life coming and going

FEAR

well, i do confess that i do really worry about the future even though that i'm a Christian..
my knowledge knows that i need to trust my Big Boss, but the faith is so small...
i'm afraid to let it go..
i'm afraid to lose everything i want..
i'm afraid of tomorrow..

ICY STORY

there was an ice storm coming over this monday and everythings looked fine and the beautiful outside, you know, the ice covered the trees, rooves, ground and everywhere, then the power off and on for couple hrs, and finally it died..Vicki and i thought that would be an other borning day cuz we planned to go to Augusta, GA though, but no power now, and it means no tv, no dvd,no internet, no heat and no fun..so we stayed at home and tried to do something fun w/out electricity..

it was about noon time, my home stay mom tried to take us out to fine some place had power for dinner, so we went to Pizza Hut. Well, for Vicki and i, pizza was not so yummy, but we didn't want to stay in a freezing house, so we went with Joyce, my home stay mom, Rebecca, and her friend. At Pizza Hut, everything was fine cus it had power and heat, then we had nice dinner there. After dinner, we drove home, but we can't get home anyway for the ice dameged the trees, power lines and cable line and they all fell down, then we tried to find other ways to got home, we tried different strees and lanes, but still couldn't work, tress and lines were on the road, we thought we would get home tomorrow..Joyce tried the last way, it was fine, but there were some signs on the road, so Joyce moved them out and we could get home finally, everybody didn't want to go out anyway, it was too dangerous..

Don, my home stay dad went home in the afternoon, and checked around the house, then asked us top moved to their house.
"Marcie and Vicki, take your stuff to come over"
"What happened?"
"I'll explain to you."
thus, we crossed a door to their house and stay in the kitchen and he talked to us.
"Girls, I want you to sleep here tonight. Did you see the tree? That tree is leaning, and it will fall, when it falls it right on the place where you sleep, so i don't want you to stay that house" i didn't say anything, but kept thinking the words he said.

After we moved, Don said he'd rather to go out to find a place we can sit down and warm than stay at home to see the trees fall, so we went out for supper. we went to an other Chinese restaurant.

We saw many people in the restaurant for getting warm, Don asked us to order the dishes for them (you know, Americans love to take us to Chinese restaurants just because they want to know if it's REAL Chinese food by us), so we did. After supper, we went back to the freezing house..

The house was like a big frige because no heat, it was -1degree C i guess, and the outside still icy, Don said the tree still leaning, but God holds it.
It was about bed time, we had 5 blanket but still cold, it was too cold to sleep, but we all thought it would be better tomorrow and we would have power as well, so we fell asleep.

In the seconday, we still had no power, but the ice was melting, Joyce said we could go outside to find somewhere was warm, so we went shopping..=) from Wal-Mart to Aiken Mall, we took couple hrs on shopping, it sounded fun, huh? We'll see..

Still no power when we got home, Joyce tried to reserve some hotels near by Aiken, Augusta, and Columbia, it they all fulled because there were 10,000 people in Aiken had no power, everybody ran away home to find warm, sounded funny, eh? But it surely happened..Afterwards, Joyce came to our place and told us we were going to her sister's house in Greenville, it was about 2-hr driving from Aiken and we needed to leave soon, then we went to Greenville to get warm..

The house in Greenville was soooooooooooooooooo nice, it just like picture, oh my. it was a 2- story house with s jacuzzi swimming poor, a patio, a big living room, a nice dining room, several rooms, eveything was so nice and warm, of course. We lived in the guest room had a KING-SIZE BED and bathroom, thus we had warm at the night..and did something fun there--taking pics and shopping!!

We went back to Aiken in the afternoon, but still no power, so Don used stove and candles to get warm, we thought it would be another freezing night again, something was happened at the time-- the power!! the POWER CAME BACK!! we were so happy and Don prayed to God for the thanksgiving..

Through the ice storm, i found out our life was quite small, what we only could do is let God, we had no choice, at the time while Don was talking about the tree, i thought i should let my mom know she would get 20 million NT from the insurance company if i died, i didn't tell my friend to give the name Marcie if she had a baby girl for it would be the right name to fit the Japanese last name, and sooooooo many things i haven't tried, but i would died in no time if i slept in the dangerous room.

So i do thank God that i still alive and i can see so many things around here. Don told me it was the most serious and biggest ice storm, they have been here for 14 yrs, but never had the storm like this, well, what can i say? Only want to say how lucky we are and it would be the most unforettable American experience in the life time, but NOT AGAIN!! IT WAS TOO FREEZING!!!!
